An Analysis on Cybersecurity and Quality of Service Enhancement Through Blockchain in Wireless Sensor Networks
摘要
Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) play a pivotal role in various domains, including healthcare, industrial monitoring, and environmental sensing. However, they face inherent security and quality of service (QoS) challenges. This abstract explores the integration of blockchain technology as a promising solution to enhance both cybersecurity and QoS in WSNs. Blockchain’s decentralized and tamper-proof ledger ensures data integrity and authenticity, while smart contracts enable secure access control and QoS automation. The distributed nature of blockchain also mitigates the risk of single points of failure, enhancing network resilience. While scalability and energy efficiency remain challenges, the benefits of blockchain in WSNs are substantial, promising improved security and performance in critical applications. The distributed nature of blockchain technology enhances network resilience by mitigating the risks associated with centralized systems. Although challenges such as scalability and energy efficiency persist, the potential benefits of employing blockchain in WSNs are substantial, promising a more secure and high-performance ecosystem that can cater to a wide range of applications in the IoT landscape. This abstract highlights the transformative capacity of blockchain technology in fortifying WSNs, thereby ensuring their security, efficiency, and reliability in an increasingly interconnected world.
