Improvisation (improv) can be a dynamic resource for bringing people together in and from many settings (Perone & Santucci, this volume). In this scene, we describe our creation of and immersion in our improv-centered Faculty Learning Community (FLC). We first introduce ourselves and share how we entered the improvisation world. We then provide a description of our FLC at the University of Georgia (UGA), providing readers with some insights into how we structured our FLC for our dozen or more participants each year. We elaborate on our sense of joy and awe that emerged from this wonderful collaboration in two ways: getting to know a diverse group of people from various backgrounds and disciplines and bringing what we have created from our FLC to our classrooms and our personal and professional lives. Our collaborations have been invaluable in helping us step out of our small professional silos and imposed ideologies to embrace play, creativity, and new partnerships.
