摘要

Primary cellular immunodeficiencies frequently manifest themselves with initial symptoms impacting the stomach and the intestine. The clinical presentation indicating an underlying failure of the immune system includes recurrent infections, as well as inflammatory and autoimmune reactions, and also different types of malignancies. Gastric and intestinal disorders can be found in many (5–50%) individuals with primary immunodeficiencies, and this high frequency is not that unexpected given that the biggest organ containing lymphoid cells is actually the gut.
