Plastic wastes come to everybody’s mind as a basic feedstock source for plastics in a circular economy. We designed this chapter to describe the available technologies as well as the markets in three subchapters. Mechanical recycling technology process is described, the resulting market of recyclates as well as chemical recycling technology in the chemical industry. The authors describe the current changes in market and industry as well as the related challenges to overcome.
