Using Ontology of Educational Content for Improving University Digital Environment
摘要
This article discusses the development of a model of educational content and its implementation as an ontology. The educational content model that considers student characteristics can enhance learning effectiveness and support teachers in content development. The ability to reflect different forms of modern content and different important aspects of these forms that is a strong suit of proposed model. These aspects are important for the effective use of the educational content model in the digital educational environment. Applying of a common educational content model in this environment promises multiple benefits. It allows for data reuse to solve different content-related issues, provides methodological support for teachers, reduces costs for developing new applications, and ensures high-quality documentation through metadata usage. The digital educational environment improves university competitiveness and helps create a personalized learning environment. We implemented the educational content model using the Protégé software tool. Our approach to ontology development involves analyzing classifications and models of other researchers. We design a way for incorporating the presented model into the existing university’s information system in order to enhance the ontology-based tool for intellectual assistance in education. And we have a plan for future work.
