Analysis of Impact of the Internet of Things on the Prospects for Development of e-Learning

Currently, the Internet of Things has become not just a new trend – it is actively changing our reality, adding new, previously unknown ideas to our lives, allowing us to introduce technologies and concepts such as touch sensors, temperature control systems, smart homes, etc. The active integration of technological innovations that increase the comfort of human life and ensure safety and comfort by tracking and monitoring various environmental parameters is not limited only to technical systems. Research in the field of this technology shows the applicability and usefulness for expanding the possibilities of educational skills in the field of education not only for students of higher educational institutions, but also for schoolchildren and preschoolers. The unusual combination of digital and real media for providing information makes it possible to significantly increase the quality of education and the level of knowledge acquisition by students. The article provides a definition of the Internet of Things and examines its impact on the learning process. A thesis is also put forward about the special influence of the smartphone as an element of the Internet of Things used as a learning technology. In addition, the analysis of the main trends in the e-learning industry related to the development of the Internet of Things is carried out. The possible directions of changing the infrastructure of technological filling of the classroom with Internet of Things devices and the associated introduction of pedagogical innovations in the field of providing new skills and knowledge are considered. Combining classical teaching methods with modern information technologies and technical innovations, the use of IoT devices in education has been proven to yield impressive results.
