Conclusion
摘要
This final chapter encourages education leaders to champion support–accessibility–collaboration–equity (SACE)-driven programs and scholars to build on and apply SACE. I raised the issue of equity in support of effectiveness and transformation within formal newcomer mentoring/induction contexts to spark reflective action. As argued, it is time for equity to be widely recognized as vital to new teacher mentoring/induction, which is a direction for future research, policy development, and program improvement. When deliberately supportive, accessible, collaborative, and equitable, mentoring can better develop and sustain teachers, with benefits for schools and the profession. Chapter topics address SACE-driven perspectives for educational leadership, extended implications for practice and research, decoupling mentoring from formal evaluation, diversifying the pipeline of teachers and leaders, reflection on this project, and justice paths and takeaways. A conversation starter/reflective activity brings closure to this book.
