An overall procedure capable of utilizing the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) for automated software generation of Artificial Intelligence Functionalities in robotic applications is presented, consisting of three parts: This procedure is generic, takes a SysML-filled UAF as input and generates Artificial Intelligence Functionalities accompanied by a computationally viable validation and verification process, and separates the capacity of the robot’s autonomy from the difficulty of given tasks, offering the possibility for a ranking metric of approaches for implementing autonomous functionalities into robots.
