Ambedkar: What Congress and Gandhi Have Done to the Untouchables
摘要
Ambedkar argued that Congress and Gandhi were not interested in improving Untouchables’ life conditions, notwithstanding Gandhi’s claim to the contrary. Related to that was the question of the right to represent Untouchables: who has the right to represent Untouchables. Gandhi claimed that he had the right to represent all Indians, including Untouchables. Ambedkar disagreed and claimed the right to represent Untouchables. The difference between Ambedkar and Gandhi over the right to represent Untouchables remained unresolved in their lifetime.
