On the Challenges of Migrating to Microservices Architectures for Better Cloud Solutions
摘要
Driven by the increasing demand for agility and scalability in modern software development, the cloud-native paradigm has emerged as an approach for building and deploying applications. This shift necessitates a migration from traditional monolithic architectures towards microservices. While various strategies and patterns have been suggested to facilitate this migration, there is still a need to investigate their impact on the emergence of anti-patterns and their potential evolution during the migration phases. This chapter highlights challenges and explores research directions to deal with anti-patterns while migrating to microservices. Four main research questions are presented and discussed, providing valuable insights into this topic. This work intends to inspire the community to conduct research on this subject, aiming to improve migration quality and facilitate the creation of efficient microservices architectures.
