Which Is the Optimal Platform for Robotic-Assisted Diagnostic Bronchoscopy?
摘要
Since 2017, three Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved robotic bronchoscopy platforms have been introduced into the market with improved safety and accuracy of diagnosing peripheral lung nodules compared to conventional lung biopsy techniques. In this chapter we provide a comparison between these platforms’ characteristics including their functionality, techniques, and cost. We also summarize the available literature on each platform’s safety profile and efficacy. There are currently no available prospective studies looking at direct comparisons between the platforms and each system has its advantages and disadvantages providing unique solutions to different challenges associated with robotic bronchoscopy.
