Structural Analysis of Welding Constructions Using Finite Element Method
摘要
The attention in the work is focused on the structural analysis of welded constructions. Since real welded constructions are considered in the paper, the finite element method (FEM) was used to model them. As a realistic construction, the paper considered a pillar made of a thin plate, from which a hexagonal profile of a pillar with a height of 6 meters was formed, where along its height, one edge is connected by welding. During the welding of the column, it bulges, which is necessary to prevent the introducing load in the opposite direction from the direction of the bulge as a result of welding. For this purpose, numerical simulation using FEM defines the level of external load on the column, which ensures that the column does not bulge as a result of welding. In order to validate the numerical simulation of welded joints, the paper presents a numerical simulation of the welding of two facing plates.
