Idea or innovation labs are a good tool to promote and develop a culture of innovation in organisations and move towards their digital transformation. Universities function as small cities (services, citizens, governing bodies, etc.). This characteristic makes them a kind of laboratory of small cities within a controlled environment in which to experiment and benefit from research aimed at society. The key research puzzle is to apply the concept of intrapreneurship to the digital transformation of the university. To this end, this article puts forward the idea of creating a laboratory that focuses on improving the university itself, taking advantage of the scientific and human capital of the organisation itself. The research hypothesis is that this type of laboratory can really transform digitally through innovative projects carried out by the academic institution itself. After the creation and implementation of this laboratory, we have confirmed this hypothesis by contrasting its usefulness, not only as a tool for innovating and digitally transforming the university, but also as a showcase for innovation projects that can be easily extrapolated to society.

摘要
