Personal Autonomy and Decision-Making in Preschool Through the Naturalization of Spaces with the Think-Pair-Share Technique
摘要
An instructional module is presented to help preschoolers naturalise their classroom and make decisions autonomously, as an initiation in developing critical thinking through the Think-Pair-Share technique. An exploratory study was carried out to check the potential and reliability of the instructional module and this technique. To this end, a case study was carried out with 24 children (5 and 6 years old) who participated in two activities implemented through slight adaptations of this technique to involve students in autonomous decision-making about incorporating a nature corner in their classroom. The results show indications of the great potential of this technique for its application to the development of critical thinking in preschool, observing a remarkable coherence and suitability of the elements proposed by the children for their incorporation into the corner.
