Supply Chain Management Using Automatic Guided Vehicle Systems in Smart Factory Logistics
摘要
The current paper presents theoretical and experimental evidence to justify the need of Automatic Guided Vehicle (AGV) systems in supply chain management within smart factories. AGV systems can be integrated with other smart factory technologies, such as manufacturing execution systems (MES) and warehouse management systems (WMS), to optimize the flow of materials throughout the supply chain. For example, AGVs can be used to transport materials to a specific location in the factory based on real-time demand information, or to automatically re-supply materials to a production line as they are consumed. AGVs can also be used to improve the efficiency of the supply chain by reducing the need for human labor and minimizing the need for manual material handling. They can also improve the accuracy of inventory management by providing real-time data on the movement of materials within the factory. In addition, AGVs can be used to improve the safety and ergonomics of the supply chain by reducing the need for workers to manually move heavy loads or operate dangerous equipment. Overall, AGV systems can play an important role in supply chain management within smart factories by automating the movement of materials and goods, improving efficiency, accuracy, and safety and helping factories to be more flexible and responsive to changing market conditions.
