Investigation of the Tightening Torque of Electrical Connectors
摘要
Some electrical connectors are prone to corrosion. When metals of different potentials come into contact, galvanic corrosion processes may start. This adversely affects the electrical resistance and mechanical properties of the connection. Heat is generated in parts with an electric current, impairing the parameters of electrical conduction. These heat effects are imperceptible for a long time. With the use of a thermal camera, the defects of the connection and problems resulting from an insufficient tightening torque can be detected in time.
