Nanocomposites have been gaining considerable interest as a potential tool to tackle environmental issues in the past few years. More than single or pure component structures, composite structures have been found to have more power in tackling such issues. When the strength of nanocomposites combines with the eco-friendly approach of bioremediation, the result is a promising way to reduce pollution and similar other problems. In this review, we shall revisit the existing nanocomposites used for this purpose and the possibilities of developing better means and methods for the same.
