Climate change has caused many changes in various economic sectors; the tourism industry being one of the main ones. A systematic review of scientific articles was conducted, on new technological means and practices that can be applied in the field of Tourism (focusing on A.I. and Robotics systems), to help the development of Tourism through solutions linked to environmental sustainability. PRISMA-S method was used. The database search (ABI/INFORM, ProQuest, Scopus and EBSCO Business Source Premier, Pubmed, Embase) was carried out between 7/2023 and 6/2024 with keywords such as “Tourism and sustainability”, “Hotel industry and A.I.”, “Hotel Industry and Robotics”, “Automated tourism”, “Natural resources”, etc. SQAC scale and AMSTAR-2 criteria were used to assess the quality of studies selected. Initially, 100 articles were identified. However, 10 papers that met the inclusion criteria were finally selected which mainly included systematic reviews, primary research, etc. Currently, only a few studies have substantively explored the effects of integrating A.I. and Robotics in ensuring environmental sustainability. The opinions of researchers differ, with some emphasizing the benefits (reduction in greenhouse gas emissions) while others reach the opposite conclusion, arguing that digitalization puts pressure on energy utilization. The implications of applying A.I. are important and the introduction of service robots seems to have different effects on customers.
