Distal Superficial Branches and Branches for the Deep Structures
摘要
Following the developing of the cortex, the superficial cortical branches acquire their final configuration. Appearing of rich anastomoses at the borders of two different vascular territories (border-zone areas). No anastomoses between the branches supplying the white matter (medullary arteries) and the perforators arising from the basal trunks running to the deep structures and adjacent white matter. These are end-arteries.
