In order to foster innovation and creativity in today’s world, gender equality in informatics is becoming increasingly important due to the need for diverse perspectives and experiences. Therefore, recruitment initiatives that aim to achieve gender balance in informatics should cover a strategy that spreads from kindergarten to universities. While numerous frameworks have been created to widen the gender divide in informatics, there isn’t much emphasis on promoting diversity from a young age. This chapter’s goal is to highlight the value of informatics by providing a broad overview of recruitment campaigns that range from K-12 to university settings. The first section of the chapter discusses the significance of gender diversity in informatics. The second section of the chapter, will provide an overview of the recruitment initiatives in all three levels: kindergarten level, secondary and high school level, and university level. The last section, will conclude the chapter, by providing the needs to overcome the challenges that can be faced while making sure gender balance in informatics for a more inclusive and innovative future.
