This systematic literature review (SLR) examines the vast terrain of benefits and challenges associated with the integration of big data and data analysis (BD&A) in the healthcare industry. This study, which includes a thorough selection of 38 scholarly publications, provides a detailed examination of the transformative potential of BD&A technologies in healthcare. The selected cases comprehensively expose the numerous benefits of BD&A adoption, demonstrating its ability to transform clinical procedures, improve operational efficiencies, and reshape business models within healthcare organizations. Concurrently, this research explores the complex issues inhibiting the smooth integration and optimal application of BD&A in healthcare settings. These difficulties include technological obstacles, cultural shifts, privacy issues, and the critical need for standardized procedures to efficiently exploit the massive volume of healthcare data. This SLR extensive analysis attempts to highlight the broad advantages while methodically addressing the constraints inherent in BD&A adoption within the healthcare sector, offering a solid basis to guide future research and strategic implementations in this dynamic field.
