In this study, we attempted to clarify the structure of international students’ career awareness using an analysis of interviews conducted with former international students working in Hokkaido in June 2019 and January 2020. We also examined differences in career awareness that may be related to age differences among interviewees. In a comparative analysis of the interview survey, there was a commonality in “I am attracted to the natural environment and living environment of Hokkaido, and I like living there” but no other commonalities were found. As for the major difference between the two, in an interview conducted in January 2020, there seems to be noticeable characteristics of working people in their early 20 s that can be seen regardless of their country of origin, such as “naturalness” and “looseness”.

摘要
