Production of Functional Polymer Particles via Liquid-Based Top-down Processes
摘要
In this chapter, top-down approaches for the development of novel functional thermoplast particle systems are discussed. The capabilities of three processes for the production of polymer powders that could act as a raw material for laser-based powder bed fusion of polymers (PBF-LB/P) feedstock production were investigated, namely cold wet comminution in stirred media mills, thermally induced precipitation, and melt emulsification. The aforementioned processes were assessed in detail.
