Internal Iliac Artery
摘要
The vessels of the vascular system come from mesoderm- and ectoderm-derived angiogenic cells. First, the right and left primitive aortae develop as the endocardial cardiac tubes lengthen. The aortae curve posteriorly into the first pharyngeal arch and go around the anterior foregut to continue posteriorly as the dorsal aortae. Next these two dorsal aortae are dorsal to the primitive gut and fuse caudally at the distal ends to form the caudal aorta while the cranial ends stay separate (Khalid and Bordoni 2022). The right and left dorsal aortae combine at the fourth thoracic to fourth lumbar somite segments (Bhatia et al. 2021).
