Phrenic Arteries
摘要
Information about the superior phrenic artery’s embryological origins is limited. The inferior phrenic artery has embryological origins documented in the literature, mainly stemming from a network of ventrolateral blood vessels supplying the mesonephros around the fifth week of embryological development of the kidneys and suprarenal glands. Initially, the blood supply to the suprarenal glands develops from the superior suprarenal arteries. Once the diaphragm develops later in gestation, the inferior phrenic arteries become more prominent in their connections to the suprarenal glands (Kahn 1967).
