Dural Venous Sinuses
摘要
The cerebral venous system can be divided into the superficial and deep systems. The superficial system comprises the sagittal sinuses and cortical veins, which drain the superficial surfaces of both cerebral hemispheres (Figs. 17.1, 17.2 and 17.3). The deep system consists of the lateral, straight, and sigmoid sinuses and the deeper draining cortical veins (Curѐ et al. 1994; Kiliҫ and Akakin 2008) (Figs. 17.4, 17.5 and 17.6). Both of these systems drain largely into the internal jugular veins (Kiliҫ and Akakin 2008).
