Investigation of the Information and Communication Technology Course in the Context of Artificial Intelligence
摘要
In the current century, advancements in technology have led to the widespread adoption and integration of various technological systems that facilitate human life. Consequently, this underscores the importance of education in information and communication technologies, as well as in software and coding training. From this standpoint, the aim was to examine the current information and communication technology courses taught in schools and evaluate them within the context of artificial intelligence, considered the pinnacle of today's technological advancements. In this context, the opinions of 18 teachers who teach information and communication technology courses were gathered. This study was conducted using the qualitative research method of phenomenology. The results are striking: it was concluded that an important subject like information and communication technologies does not encompass current software and hardware knowledge. According to the teachers’ opinions, innovative revolutions such as artificial intelligence and augmented reality need to be added to the course content.
