Design of Intelligent Airport Underground Leakage Monitoring System Based on NB IoT Communication Technology

The safety management of airport underground facilities has been paid more and more attention by the society, which largely depends on the reliable leakage monitoring system. This paper presented a design scheme of airport underground leakage detection and monitoring system based on NB-IoT. The system design includes several key technical steps: modular design, NB-IoT network integration, software design and data processing. The performances of NB-IoT, LoRa and Zigbee in monitoring accuracy, response time and system stability were compared to discuss the applicability of NB-IoT in this application scenario. The experimental results showed that the monitoring system based on NB-IoT had better monitoring accuracy than LoRa and Zigbee, and the highest monitoring accuracy was 97.5%. It also had the lowest response time of 200 ms and the shortest failure recovery time of 61s, showing excellent performance. Therefore, NB-IoT technology has great practical value and is becoming an effective application solution for airport underground facilities monitoring.
