KM4D
摘要
This chapter shifts to the more complex discourse of knowledge management for development likewise borrowing heavily from previous theoretic exposures, research and field practice. Knowledge management submits that an organization’s intellectual capital is a manageable and potentially profitable asset. Knowledge management for development or KM4D also considers intellectual capital as a manageable asset but it moves beyond the organization to the community in all its forms. Knowledge is leveraged not to increase not the so-called bottom line but to further the development agenda. KM4D is further founded on knowledge science and knowledge economics. From the perspective of governments and development assistance agencies, knowledge management need not be exclusively applied to organizations. It can very well be employed to non-going concerns such as projects and to larger systems or development sectors.
