First Principles
摘要
As development communication scholars and practitioners, we need to be reminded that the first principles of information and communication for development may be traced back not from Nora Quebral but from the works of Claude Shannon (A Mathematical Theory of Communication, 1948) and Norbert Weiner (Cybernetics, 1948). Essentially both Shannon and Wiener submit that information and communication play a far more profound role in the overall scheme of things, i.e., they are keys to system growth and maintenance by negating entropy.
