Artificial intelligence (AI) has been implemented in almost every aspect of our day-to-day lives, health being one of those aspects. It only made sense for it to have a role in acne vulgaris, globally ranked as the eighth most common disease, and its role in acne vulgaris has been rising over the decades. In this chapter, the different parts played by AI in acne vulgaris will be discussed, starting with an introduction of the topic, then its function in defining the etiology of the disease, followed by its role in diagnosing acne and its complications as it eliminates the intra- and inter-rater variability, then how research implemented it in teledermatology, as well as its emerging contribution in treatment and follow-up of response. Finally, the reliability of ChatGPT in answering users’ questions about acne vulgaris is being addressed.
