Digitalization is changing medicine. Medical pathways should be supported and become better and safer by digital transformation. Furthermore, artificial intelligence (AI) applications are increasingly used in medicine, especially in diagnostic imaging. AI will change the work environment. The tech-savvy modern urologists are predestined to help shape the implementation of digital transformation in everyday clinical practice for the benefit of patients and colleagues through more individualized medicine by co-design and in-depth evaluation. Only time will tell whether these processes will decrease the workload and make patient treatment easier while increasing precision and individualization. Urology must accept the upcoming new challenges.
