In recent years, there has been growing interest in exploring the potential of citrus waste as a source of bioactive compounds with nutraceutical properties. This review provides an overview of nutraceuticals derived from citrus waste, focusing on their bioactive components, health benefits, and potential applications in functional foods and dietary supplements. Citrus waste contains bioactive compounds which exhibit a range of health-promoting properties, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, anticancer, and cholesterol-lowering effects.
