Are We Attractive to You? A Study on Metaverse Recruitment and Organisational Attractiveness
摘要
The study explores the impact of the “metaverse” on organisational attractiveness in recruitment. It investigates how the use of a metaverse technology influences candidates’ perceptions and application decisions. Data from 108 respondents, collected through a questionnaire distributed online, were analysed using R, SPSS, and Excel. The results indicate that organisational attractiveness in metaverse recruitment is influenced by perceived ethics, fairness, and candidates’ metaverse experience. Furthermore, gender and socio-professional category also have an indirect effect on candidates’ views. Qualitative analysis highlights concern about discrimination and environmental, data protection, and health issues. However, the study acknowledges limitations in sample size and regression model quality. In conclusion, the study emphasises the necessity of investigating the long-term implications of metaverse technology for HRM strategies and recruitment, while also underscoring the importance of further research on long-term effects and ethical considerations.
