Revolutionizing Cultural Heritage Engagement Through the Metaverse: A Study on Virtual Interactivity and Perception
摘要
This research investigates the impact of virtual environments on user engagement and perception of cultural heritage within the Metaverse, using a quantitative approach to examine responses from 200 participants. By conducting correlation and regression analyses, it scrutinizes the dynamics between technology use in the Metaverse, the authenticity of its virtual representations, inclusivity efforts, the fidelity of its environments, interactive elements, and overall user satisfaction. Results highlight a notable positive correlation between engagement levels and the use of Metaverse technology, emphasizing the critical role of intuitive and accessible Metaverse platforms in boosting user interaction. While the study underscores the vast opportunities for immersive experiences in cultural heritage, it also identifies ongoing challenges in ensuring inclusivity and maintaining authenticity. This paper enriches our understanding of virtual environment's role in enhancing cultural heritage engagement and suggests in employing Metaverse technologies to foster inclusive and genuine representations of cultural heritage.
