In tracing the grappling contributors of the twenty-first century’s climatic change and subsequent environmental devastation, the direction and pace of climatic challenges, it can be pointed out that the major contributors to the climatic challenge are anthropogenic activities of modernization and rapid urbanization. However, in the face of modernization, the sustainable and holistic lifestyle practices of lifestyles of several indigenous communities on the environment consist of conventional beliefs, cultural practices, a traditional tapestry of social structures, diversified livelihoods, and sacred sustainable practices that impart conservation and preservation of resources to a great extent. This said ecological knowledge repository of the indigenous communities, which is referred to as the traditional environmental knowledge (TEK), is quintessential in applying their techniques to reverse the impacts of global change directly benefitting the global climate conditions, can be focussed on as a methodology framework by studying through the climatic justice model.
