In this chapter we define the pre-entropy function, showing that its values map the ordering of states given by adiabatic accessibility. The way that a Lieb–Yngvason machine can be used to determine values of the pre-entropy function is discussed. In terms of the pre-entropy function, two single-system entropy functions are defined which, respectively, increase and decrease during adiabatically irrecoverable processes.

摘要

In this chapter we define the pre-entropy function, showing that its values map the ordering of states given by adiabatic accessibility. The way that a Lieb–Yngvason machine can be used to determine values of the pre-entropy function is discussed. In terms of the pre-entropy function, two single-system entropy functions are defined which, respectively, increase and decrease during adiabatically irrecoverable processes.
