摘要
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems are essential for modern businesses to centralize and automate functions, enhancing operational efficiency and decision-making. However, implementing these systems can be complex due to the need to integrate various organizational functions into a cohesive platform. This research aims to understand the role and functionalities of ERP systems in modern businesses by identifying trends, leading countries and institutions in ERP research, analyzing contributions from various disciplines, and pinpointing the most frequently mentioned keywords in the ERP field. The study employs bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer version 1.6.20 to analyze data from the Web of Science (WoS) database. It focuses on article titles containing the keywords “Enterprise resource planning” or “ERP,” resulting in a dataset of 487 articles. This research is crucial for understanding the evolution of ERP systems, identifying dominant research trends, and uncovering knowledge gaps. This understanding is vital for enhancing organizational efficiency and supporting decision-making in complex business environments.
