The Role of Sense Relations in Marketing Campaigns
摘要
This study examines the impact of social media usage on adolescents’ self-esteem and body image perception. A sample of 300 adolescents aged 13–18 contributed in this quantitative research, completing surveys assessing their social media engagement, self-esteem, and body image awareness. The findings expose a important association between the frequency of social media use and reduced self-esteem levels among adolescents. Moreover, exposure to idealized body images on social media podiums is associated with a distorted body image perception among participants. These results underline the important role of social media in determining adolescents’ self-perception and highlight the importance of endorsing media literacy and healthy online behaviors among young users.
