This chapter examines podcasts produced by Brasil Paralelo (BP), a Brazilian media company aligned with far-right discourse, as example to discuss a ‘cultural front’ formed to oppose democratic values. BP arose in a political context where extremist right-wing discourse was spreading across Brazil through social media networks, backed by Olavo de Carvalho’s ideas, culminating in Jair Bolsonaro’s presidential term from 2019 to 2022. The analysis of BP podcasts shows how values important to far-right followers are articulated in their discourse in favour of a liberal-conservative regime.

摘要
