Power Sources, Voltage Regulators

Power source is as important as the circuit that receives the voltage or current. It is a frequent error to use a low quality power source to supply a well-designed circuit. The real voltage source has always certain small internal impedance. The real current source has a parallel (may be big) resistance. These parameters cannot be ignored while designing electronic circuits. In this chapter, we discuss some mostly used sources with rectifiers, DC converters and voltage regulators, both conventional analog, and switching high efficiency devices.
