Wireless Sensor Network-Based Wireless Safety System Using Underground Mine Workers

The world's most dangerous location to work is in a mine, since there are frequently explosions there that result in thousands of fatalities. And according to a current study, these mining natural disasters have claimed the lives of, on average, around 200 individuals. In the proposed system, an IOT-based underground mine safety monitoring and alert system A concept is proposed to establish security and detect accidents in an underground mine, this is among the most significant IOT undertakings. The two main sections of the work are the receiver and transmitter sides. The transmitter sides are temperature, smoke, and gas sensors. The transmitter section is also based on an enabled device component. An IOT screen is included in the receiver section. All sensor data is delivered to a wired IOT server in every section through a Node MCU controller. The DHT11 humidity sensor emits an alert when the threshold limit is exceeded. Miners have one of the lowest-risk occupations in the underground application. In certain nations, underground miners are not guaranteed social protection or safety, and they may be left on their own in the event of an injury. The receiver and transmitter modules make up the project's two main components. Humidity sensors and smoke sensors are incorporated into the transmitter module. A Wi-Fi module is also included in the transmitter module. The receiver module includes an LCD screen. Through a Wi-Fi module, all sensor data is sent every two minutes to a distant IOT server. An indication that occurs when the threshold limit rises is also a part of the circuit. One of the lowest-risk professions in the world is mining. In certain nations, underground miners are not guaranteed social protection or safety, and they may be left on their own in the event of an injury.
