Travelling Waves

Travelling waves are special propagating solutions of the nonlinear equation ( 2.1.1 ). They play the same role as the linear waves in Eq. ( 2.4.1 ). They have the form \(u(t,x)=\varphi (x-ct)\) with the same notion of leftward or rightward propagation as for the linear waves.
