Surgical Management
摘要
This chapter provides an up-to-date review of surgical treatment modalities used in patients who have been determined to have medically refractory epilepsy. These techniques consist of resections (the removal of epileptogenic tissue), disconnections (the separation of epileptogenic tissue from healthy tissue), ablation (lesioning of tissue with a minimally invasive method), and neuromodulation (the reduction of seizures through the application of stimulation).
