Persistent peripheral lymph leakages often occur after surgical procedures. They are rare overall, but potentially represent a severe complication that can delay necessary oncological therapies and lead to superinfections and dermatological and also psychosocial problems. Modern imaging methods allow for an exact anatomical evaluation of the local conditions with identification of the leakage site and determination of location, number, and course of injured lymph vessels in patients with therapy-refractory peripheral lymph leakages (cutaneous lymph fistulas/lymphoceles). Interventional-radiological techniques open up new, minimally invasive, endolymphatic therapy options.
