Outpatient Lymphedema Therapy
摘要
Whether outpatient therapy is possible or inpatient therapy is necessary must be made on a case-by-case basis. Generally, the guidelines for decision-making are the stage of lymphedema, the location of the lymphedema, comorbidities, and the patient’s age. Outpatient therapy is used both for mild cases of extremity lymphedema to prevent a worsening of the condition and for severe lymphedema after inpatient treatment as a central component of the two-phase therapy of CDT (Complex Decongestive Therapy).
