Using State Transition Diagrams for Automated Knowledge Base Construction

摘要

The development of domain-specific intelligent systems is one of the key directions in modern information technologies. At the same time, automation of knowledge base engineering for these systems is one of the most relevant and promising areas in the field of artificial intelligence. Especially when it comes to using already accumulated information, presented, in particular, in the form of conceptual models. We propose an approach and software for automating the creation of knowledge bases using the analysis and transformation of conceptual models in the form of state transition diagrams. The proposed approach is based on the identification of structural elements of diagrams and their mapping into constructions of a target knowledge representation language. The main stages of the approach and implementation are described. An illustrative example of converting state transition diagrams to form a failure analysis plan is presented.
