This chapter examines the journey of the Casitas de Emociones (Little Houses of Emotions, LHE), an emerging practice within the Immersive Emotions Lab developed in public schools of Santiago, Chile between 2017 and 2019. This Lab was part of the research project ‘Transiting Emotions: Applied Sensory Immersive Theatre (ASIT) as efficacious performative practices in puberty transition’. This research addressed the lack of spaces for emotional expression, creating affective spaces through place-based performances. It involved specialised sensory and immersive theatrical languages to explore and express emotions, inspired by the immersive journeys of the Colombian director Enrique Vargas and his Teatro de los Sentidos. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the LHE migrated to adult participants’ homes, and they were shared through screens. The LHE impacted domestic inhabiting by performing spaces for wellbeing and the sharing of emotional needs, both addressing difficult and desired emotions. I will address the transformations of LHE within the homescape considering the subjects in transit through emotions, the Sensorial Immersive Scenographic Body and the narratives and metanarratives of emotions. Finally, I suggest some continuities between body, home and beyond that propose an embodied relationship and an affective inhabiting of our environment.

摘要
