By analyzing key automotive advancements and their applicability to maritime challenges, this paper aims to highlight how such cross-industry innovation can lead to increased efficiency, sustainability, and safety in shipping and marine operations. Considering specific examples it demonstrated how electric propulsion systems, can be adapted for maritime use, ultimately driving the evolution of modern maritime practices and contributing to the development of greener and smarter shipping solutions.
