In this paper, the authors aim to analyse and highlight the outstanding professional achievements of the great scientist and engineer Dimitrie Leonida (1883–1965), who contributed significantly, in several directions, to Romania’s economic and social development. Among his significant contributions are the study of Romania’s hydrographic potential, with the aim of the economic location of the new hydropower plants, the design and coordination of the works at the Bicaz hydropower plant, design and coordination of several large projects for the production and transportation of electrical energy. Dimitrie Leonida was one of the pillars of Romanian energy development, having a major role in the electrification of industry and transport.

摘要

In this paper, the authors aim to analyse and highlight the outstanding professional achievements of the great scientist and engineer Dimitrie Leonida (1883–1965), who contributed significantly, in several directions, to Romania’s economic and social development.
